John Hawken’s Introduction to Tantra taught by Jon Gosling and Shakti Elara

Osho said: “From sex to tantra: a great revolution, a mutation, is possible in man. And in the East, people became aware that if you become meditative while making love, the quality of sex changes and something new enters into it – it becomes tantric, it becomes prayerful, it becomes meditative…it becomes Samadhi (height of Divine consciousness).

Most people associate Tantra with sex but as Osho says, it is far more than that.  Tantra is not a religion, but opens the possibility of creating connection and experience of oneself through the body, connecting with our energy and ultimately the Divine.  This possibility creates the opportunity of a new way of being in all aspects of our lives and allows us to reach a different level within our intimate relationships and thus our sexual interactions.

In this workshop we will introduce you to the four main elements that help you build this connection. Namely: Breath, sound, movement and awareness.

You will be guided through the evening primarily experiencing yourself and the world around you differently.  You will also be supported in connecting with your boundaries and to use them in meeting the other attendees from an embodied heart-felt space.  Our aim at the end of the evening is for you to take away some practices and learnings into the outside world.

This is workshop is open to all genders and sexual orientations over 18 whether you are single or in a relationship. This evening will have no nudity or intimate touch.

The doors will open at 6.30 pm  with an opportunity to meet your fellow Explorers over some non-alcoholic drinks which will be provided.  The workshop proper will start at 7.00 pm after which there will be no admittance. This policy is in place to maintain the safety of the space for all those present.

Please bring a  blanket with you.  We have some blankets for those of you who don’t have one.

Also we recommend you wear loose fitting clothes.
